~Vintage 60's Painted Top and Sarong Skirt Set Dress ~

A real charmer! Beautiful details on this set, a lovely hand-painted butterfly motif in yellow and silver paint on blue. The shirt is pleated at the shoulders and has the butterflys floating to the back in graduated sizes. The closure is a  3/4 length metal zipper in the rear. The skirt is a sarong style with a georgous silver trim running along the opening. And of course the butterflys surrounding the hemline. The tailoring is a pencil style...hugging every curve! The closure is a metal side-seam zipper. Fabulous!!!!!! Note the unusual machine finished edge (inside skirt photo 6). Seems to follow all other rules of  mid-century vintage.  My assumption is it was made overseas around the 60's.
